Dearest Friends,

Before we rip the curtain off of this new album, let's have a little bit of fun. One thing we can't help but notice, is just how unbelievably artistically talented you all are. People send us video clips and CD's all the time of them performing our songs in every imaginable way. Be it solo, full band, acoustic, electric, electro, interpretive dance...we've seen just about everything, and it never ceases to amaze and inspire us.

We thought it would be awesome to finally showcase the best of the best of these videos, and reward you handsomely. From now until June 14th, we will be accepting entries for the very first My Chemical Romance YouTube cover contest. All you need to do is video tape yourself covering your favorite MCR song in whichever style you feel and follow the instructions below to enter the contest. We will review the entries and announce the champion and future owner of a signed guitar while showcasing some of our favorite entries.

Warm up those fingers and vocal chords! The sky's the limit really, think outside the box and show em how it's done.

HOW TO ENTER:

1) Record your own cover of your favorite MCR song and post the video to YouTube and post it as a video response to THIS VIDEO.

2) Come back to THIS PAGE and enter your video link. You must be registered and logged in to mychemicalromance.com to enter, so if you haven’t already, CREATE AN ACCOUNT HERE.

3) You can submit as many videos as you want, but they must be new (don’t submit anything that you put up on YouTube a year ago), and they must be yours.

Greetings Friends!

It's been an awfully long time since last we spoke, and I apologize. To make it up to you, I have many exciting things to share. You have all been so patient, and for that we are eternally grateful.

First things first, here are some new studio shots from our own ace photographer (and soon to be dad!), Frank Iero. We have reached a very exciting final phase of recording and are counting down the seconds to when we can finally share it with you. The album has a name and a voice, although I can't let that rabbit out of the hat just yet. I wish it were humanly possible for us to sit down with all of you and crank up those speakers on launch day.

The newest songs that we have written changed my perception of what a My Chemical Romance song can do. It pushes every envelope and blurs every single line more than anything we have ever done. I am also excited to finally announce that in the very near future, there will be an official home for the MCRMY on the web. We have all gotten a chance to field test the website, and not only is it major fun, but it's also kind of addictive.

In the next few weeks we are also going to start running a series of contests that will be a ton of fun for all of us. I know I have a one or two shirts with my name on them that could use a new home to give up for prizing.

Last but not least, In the newest issue of SPIN magazine, there's an amazing article/cover featuring our fearless leader (and my big
brother) Gerard Way. Iggy has been one of our heroes and inspirations throughout our career and the article is a joy to read.

There are gonna be a great many changes coming to mychemicalromance.com over the next few weeks/months. One day you will wake up, and nothing will ever be the same again, but it'll feel like an old friend. We love you guys more than you'll ever know. Let's talk again soon.

Hello Friends,

It's December 19th, and everyone around the world is celebrating tons of different holidays in all shapes and sizes. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish every one of you guys and girls a safe and amazing holiday season.
This was always one of my favorite times of year growing up. People were a little less stressed and you got to be with a ton of family and friends you hadn't seen in forever.
Take a second to step back and appreciate all the great people around you. 2009 was a difficult and confusing year for many, and now it kind of feels like the light at the end of the tunnel is visible. We love you guys and cannot wait to show you what’s in store for 2010.

Ciao Amici,

è il 19 Dicembre, e tutti nel mondo stanno celebrando un sacco di festività differenti. Volevo cogliere l'opportunità per augurare a tutti voi, ragazzi e ragazze, una fantastica, ma prudente, stagione festiva.
E' sempre stato il mio periodo dell'anno preferito mentre crescevo. La gente era meno stressata e tu potevi stare con tantissimi familiari ed amici che non vedevi da secoli.
Prendetevi un secondo per fermarvi ed apprezzare tutte le meravigliose persone che vi circondano. Il 2009 è stato un anno difficile e confuso per molti, ed ora sembra quasi che la luce alla fine del tunnel sia visibile. Vi amiamo ragazzi e non vediamo l'ora di mostrarvi cosa c'è in serbo per il 2010.

Datemi tutti il cinque.

Like the elegant wing-ed Phoenix of legend, the My Chemical Romance website has indeed "leveled up". We can now all participate in the fun and rewarding experience known as blogging. Sorry about my recent lack-of-blogging. We have been trapped inside of an honest to goodness rock and roll vortex. These past few weeks, we have been hammering away at our fourth album in a "secret" "underground" "subterranean" studio. Part of me wants to spill all the details, song titles, subliminal messages, blazing solos etc etc but that would be no fun at all. Where's your sense of adventure? I think that if you wait just a little bit longer that you'll thank me for it in the end. Just a little bit longer..

Perdonatemi per il mio recente mancato aggiornamento del blog. Siamo rimasti intrappolati dentro ad un vero e proprio vortice rock and roll. In queste passate settimane abbiamo lavorato al nostro quarto abum in uno studio "segreto" e "sotterraneo". Una parte di me vorrebbe svelare ogni dettaglio, i titoli delle canzoni, messaggi subliminali, assoli folgoranti etc etc ma ciò non sarebbe affatto divertente. Dov'è il vostro senso dell'avventura? Penso che se aspetterete ancora per un po', allora dovrete ringraziarmi alla fine. Ancora poco tempo ...

During the writing process, we have used countless dry erase surfaces to chronicle the progress of the record. Can you decipher the clues?? Break out your little orphan annie decoder rings guys and gals.

Slowly but surely, we are chipping away at each song and getting them really tight. I'm really proud of everyone in the band, we're playing better than we ever have and cannot wait to take that energy into the studio. Only a few more days till the studo! You guys will be excited when you hear the new stuff, trust me!!!

Without getting too preachy, i would like to celebrate the re-adding of some videos to our site. It's no mystery to anybody, that countless record companies and youtube are caught in a gigantic pissing match. Unfortunately, the fans are the ones that are truly suffering from this ordeal. Like many artists on many labels, our videos were removed from youtube. We were 200 percent against this as..... A) we are huge youtube fans! b) we held two records for most viewed music videos. c) youtube is doing what most televised musical programming no longer does,...and thats play videos. If you look at the top of our site, there is a shiny new link for VIDEOS. simply click on it, and enjoy! We love you guys, expect some mammoth updates very very soon

Senza fare troppi discorsi inutili, vorrei celebrare la ri-aggiunta di alcuni video al nostro sito. Non è un mistero che innumerevoli case discografiche e Youtube sono presi da una gigante sfida rompipalle. Sfortunatamente, i fan sono quelli che stanno davvero soffrendo questo calvario. Come molti artisti con alcune etichette, i nostri video sono stati rimossi da Youtube. Noi eravamo al 200% contro questa cosa perchè:
A) siamo fan enormi di Youtube!
B) avevamo due record come "video musicali più visti";
C) Youtube fa ciò che la maggior parte dei programmi musicali televisivi non fa più ... ovvero mostrare video.

Apparently today is Star Wars Day. When you pun May 4th, you can greet and harass your friends or enemies with "May the 4th Be With You" . This phrase has gone on to spawn a holiday. Not sure what it means yet, having just found out about it this morning. With the country/world being so bleak, a Star Wars Day doesn't sound half bad. I'm gonna celebrate the holiday by watching that crazy Jefferson Starship song from the Star Wars Holiday Special a few times.

This beauty most definately took residence atop either a car dealership or a swinger's party. if I still drank heavily, i would have undoubtably hit the "Buy It Now" button without an after-thought. However, with some proper time to think, i would probably wind up buying this drunk or not.
